Vans and 2 Riser Pads reimagine the Skate Old Skool, blending a classic silhouette with skate-specific design details and 2 Riser Pad’s signature blue colorway.
First introduced in 1977 as Style 36, the original Old Skool was the first skate shoe to feature Vans’ signature Sidestripe and incorporate leather panels for increased durability. The Old Skool instantly became a favorite among skateboarders for its understated style, proven grip and lasting quality.
Nearly 50 years later, the Old Skool legacy continues with a collaboration featuring the world’s only riser pad company. The Vans X 2 Riser Pads Skate Old Skool debuts for Holiday 2025, and includes Vans Skateboarding’s most advanced technology.

Skateboarding Tech
- SickStick™ rubber for exceptional grip and boardfeel
- PopCush™ insoles for superior impact protection and energy return
- Duracap™ reinforcements for long-lasting durability in high-wear areas
This limited-edition Skate Old Skool also features a pebbled, matte-blue leather upper, wear-away rubber foxing, and a Ghillie Lacing System for ultimate shoelace protection.
The launch is anchored by video and photo assets, featuring Vans and 2 Riser Pads shared riders Diego Todd, Nick Michel and Stafhon Boca.
Designed in close collaboration with 2 Riser Pads, the all-blue colorway reflects their original riser pad with signature details that speak to the core skate community.
