Contest is offered exclusively in connection with the Vans Family loyalty program.
Contest Period. The Contest begins on March 20, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) and ends on June 11, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PST (“Contest Period”).
Monthly entry periods are as follows:
- Entry Period 1: March 20, 2026 - April 16, 2026. Winners selected on or about April 17, 2026
- Entry Period 2: April 17, 2026 - May 14, 2026. Winners selected on or about May 15 2026
- Entry Period 3: May 15, 2026 - June 11, 2026. Winners selected on or about June 12 2026
Entries may be retained for subsequent Entry Period(s), as applicable.
Eligibility. Open only to legal residents of the United States, who are 16 or older. (If you are a minor in your state of residence – that is, under 18 – you are advised to obtain the consent of your parent or legal guardian before entering the Contest.) Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, its agencies and CashStar, Inc. are not eligible to enter or win a prize. Contest is offered only in the United States and is void elsewhere and where prohibited by law.
By participating in the Contest, you (if a minor, your parent or legal guardian) agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all respects and not subject to appeal.Entry. Go to the VANS Family area of the VANS website (www.vans.com) or the VANS Family mobile application (“app”). After logging into your VANS Family Rewards Program account‡, upload your original, recent photograph featuring yourself wearing a pair of Vans Authentic shoes along with a caption, check the box to indicate that you have read and agree to these Official Rules and submit your entry to enter the Contest.
All entries must be received by June 11, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PST, subjest to Entry Period 1 and 2 deadlines as set forth in Rule 1 above.
Entries must comply with all submission requirements set forth in these Official Rules. Photograph submissions must be original works created by the entrant for this Contest and may not be generated, enhanced, or materially altered using artificial intelligence tools or automated image-generation technologies. Once photographs is submitted, it cannot be amended, edited, or supplemented by entrant. Photograph must comply with the technological requirements of the VANS websote or VANS app, as the case may be.
By submitting an entry, entrant represents and warrants that:
- the photograph is original and created by the entrant for this Contest;
- the photograph does not violate the trademark, copyright, publicity, privacy, other intellectual property rights of any other person. Notwithstanding, Sponsor grants limited, revocable right to use and display Sponsor's trademarks, provided that such use and display is solely wihtin the entry;
- entrant owns or controls all rights in and to the entry (if photograph was taken by a third party, entrant must have secured a grant of rights from such third party; except for thirs party photographer, the entry is soley the work of entrant);
- nothing in the photograph is trade scret or confidential;
- the photograph depicts/shows the entrant's honest opinions regarding VANS Authentic shoes based on his/her/their actual expeience wearing VANS Authentic shoes (and entrant agrees upon Sponsor's request at future times[s] and without compensation to advise Sponsor in writing if he/she/they no longer holds the same opinions of VANS Authentic shoes and
- the entry complies with all appliable laws and these Official Rules.
Incomplete, corrupt, or non-compliance entries may be disqualified at Sponsor's sole discretion.
‡If you are not currently a member of VANS Family, you must first join the Program in order to enter the Contest. No payment or purchase is required to join VANS Family.Entry Restrictions. Limit of one (1) entry per person per Entry Period for a total of three (3) entires per person, unless otherwise specified by Sponsor. Do NOT submit the same photograph as an entry on the VANS website and VANS app in the same Entry Period. In addition, if participating in multiple Entry Periods, a person must submit a different photogaph in each Entry Period. Violation of entry limit will result in disqualification of all entries, possible termination of account in the VANS Family Rewards Program, prohibition on participation in future VANS sweepstakes/contests/offers and perhaps Sponsor’s pursuit of legal sanctions. Receipt of entries will be acknowledged, but such acknowledgement does not constitute any representation as to eligibility for Contest(including compliance of photograph wiht the content requirements set forth belwo) or notification of selection as a potential prize winner. On-line entries generated by script, macro, robotic, programmed or like means are prohibited and will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an entrant, entry will be deemed submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the e-mail account provided at time of establishment of VANS Family Rewards Program account, as of date of entry. Authorized Account Holder means the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
Entries will be disqualified if Sponsor determines in its sole discretion that a photograph/entry:
- Contains AI-generated or synthetic imagery;
- Displays visible (direct or indirect) competitor brand logos or products;
- Includes excessive filters, manipulations, or heavy photo editing that materially alters the authenticity of the image;
- Contains offensive, unlawful, or inappropriate material (e.g., content which is hate speech, pronographic, political/controversial, advocating alcohol or drug abuse, advocating animal cruelty);
- Adversely affects the business repiutation of Sponsor or its VANS brand;
- Is not relevant to the Contest theme (i.e., dos not include VANS Authentic shoes);
- Contains exaggerated product claims regarding VANS Authentic shoes or references/depicts use of the VANS Authentic shoes other than in accordance with their usage instructions;
- Violate intellectual prperty or publiciity rights of any third party.
Photograph must not have been previously published by entrant including social media.
Winner Selection & Notification. This is a skill-based contest. Winners will be selected by a panel of qualified judges appointed by Sponsor based on the following criteria:
- Creativity and originality (40%)
- Aithentic representation on Vans style and culture (30%)
- Visual quality and composition (20%)
- Overall brand alignment and storytelling (10%)
Ten (10) winners will be selected for each Entry Period, for a total of thirty (30) winners and will be notified by e-mail. In the event of a tie, Sponsor reserves the right to select the entry with the higher creativity and originality score or conduct additional judging. Entrant (and parent/legal guardian if entrant is a minor) understands and agrees that the results of the judging are confidential information which is proprietary to Sponsor and waives any right to review same.
Potential winners (if potential winner is a minor, his/her/their parent or legal guardian) will be required to complete, sign and return a Declaration of Eligibility, a Liability Release and a Publicity Release (where lawful) within five (5) business days of date of notification. In addition, potential winners (if potential winner is a minor, his/her/their parent or legal guardian) may be required to submit proof of securing rights from third parties, including third party photographer. In the event of noncompliance with these requirements (as applicable), if potential winner cannot be reached for any reason despite commercially reasonable efforts made by Sponsor (including failure to receive or respond to winner notification e-mail for any reason, including the winner notification e-mail being classified as “junk” or “SPAM”) or if potential winner is determined to be ineligible or otherwise in violation of these Official Rules, he/she/they will be disqualified and forfeit the prize without compensation of any kind. In case of prize forfeiture, an alternate winner may be selected.
Prize Prize (30, 10 per Entry Period) – A VANS Gift Card with a value of $250 each. Total Value of all Prizes is $7,500. Prize will be fulfilled electronically or via physical gift card to the mailing address or e-mail address associated with the winner’s VANS Family account, at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Gift card is redeemable for the purchase of merchandise at www.vans.com, VANS Retail Stores in the United States or VANS Outlet Stores in the United States. TO BE ELIGIBLE TO WIN A PRIZE, YOU MUST STILL BE A MEMBER OF THE VANS FAMILY REWARDS PROGRAM IN FULL COMPLIANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THE VANS FAMILY REWARDS PROGRAM AT THE TIME OF WINNER NOTIFICATION/PRIZE AWARD.
No prize substitution except due to unavailability of Prize for any reason, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion and only then for prize of comparable value.
If winner is a minor, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prize in the name of or to winner’s parent or legal guardian on his/her/their behalf.
Prize is not redeemable/exchangeable for cash except as may be required by applicable law. All unspecified expenses relative to acceptance and/or use of the prize and all taxes on value of Prize are the winner’s sole responsibility. Prize is not transferable except with the written permission of Sponsor which may be granted or withheld in its sole discretion and without liability of any kind.
Limit of one (1) prize per person in any VANS Family contest or sweepstakes (including this Contest) within a six (6) month period.
Publicity Rights & Grant of Rights in Entry. By submitting an entry, entrant (and parent/legal guardian if entrant is a minor):
(a) Grants Sponsor and its designees a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, display, distribute, and otherwise exploit the photograph/entry, entrant’s name, likeness, voice, and biographical information across all media and marketing channels now known or later developed, whether or not entrant is selected as a winner, without compensation, notice, or approval, except where prohibited by law. Entrant (and parent/legal guardian if entrant is a minor) understands and agrees that Sponsor and its designees are in no way obligated to use the preceding materials and, by refraining from doing so, Sponsor and its designees shall not have any liability under any legal theory to entrant or any third party in conjunction therewith.
(b) Waives any “Moral Rights of Authors” (“Droit Moral”) or similar natural rights of ownership that entrant may have in the photograph/entry whether under statutory or common law.
(c) Understands and agrees that Sponsor and its designees have wide access to ideas, stories, designs and other literary/artistic materials submitted to them by outside sources or being developed by their own employees and that such ideas/stories/designs/literary/artistic materials may be competitive with, similar to (or even identical to) the photograph/entry submitted by entrant and that Sponsor and its designees shall have no liability to entrant or any third party in conjunction therewith.
(d) Understands and agrees that Sponsor and its designees do not have any duty of confidentiality or other fiduciary duty to entrant relative to the photograph/entry.(e) Agrees upon the request of Sponsor and its designees and without compensation of any kind, to execute any additional documents so as to effect, record or perfect the grant of rights contemplated in this Rule.
Release.
Entrants (if a minor, his/her/their parent or legal guardian) hereby release, agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vans, a division of VF Outdoor, LLC; CashStar, Inc.; their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and agencies; the officers, employees, directors, successors and assigns of any of the foregoing entities from any and all liability arising from participation participation in the Contest (including but not limited to a photograph that entrant submitted as an entry violating the rights of any third party), any Contest-related activity or the acceptance, possession, receipt or use/misuse of a Prize (if applicable).
Limitations of Liability. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for (a) any incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by tampering, hacking or by any of the equipment or programming associated with offering the Contest or by any technical or human error affecting either the VANS website or the VANS mobile app; (b) or unauthorized access to photographs/entries or any communication between Sponsor, potential or verified prize winners; (c) any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, programming or failure of e-mail on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or any combination thereof; or (d) jumbled e-mail transmissions/entries/communications, regardless of cause (all of which are void). Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules in a given instance shall not constitute the waiver of such provision. Tampering with the Contest in any manner, including attempting to defraud Sponsor relative to one’s membership in the VANS Family Rewards Program, will result in, to the extent applicable, disqualification from the Contest, possible termination of account in the VANS Family Rewards Program, prohibition on participation in future VANS sweepstakes/contests/offers; in addition, Sponsor may otherwise seek to protect its rights to the full extent allowed by law. If Sponsor determines in its sole discretion that the Contest cannot be conducted as originally planned due to any cause beyond its control (e.g., computer virus/bug, tampering, fraud, natural disaster, materials shortage, pre-emption/delay/re-scheduling/cancellation/interruption/interference with offering the Contest and/or the VANS Family Rewards Program), Sponsor may cancel, modify or suspend one or more Entry Periods of the Contest and make the prizes available to be won in such affected Entry Period(s) in a manner that Sponsor in its sole discretion determines is fair, appropriate and consistent with these Official Rules. Notice of such action will be posted at the VANS Family Rewards Program area of www.vans.com and in the VANS Family mobile app.
Dispute Resolution/Choice of Law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you (if a minor, your parent or legal guardian) agree that:
all disputes regarding the Contest or these Official Rules shall be governed by the internal, substantive law of Delaware (i.e., without regard to choice of law/conflict of law rules of Delaware or of any other jurisdiction);
you (if a minor, your parent or legal guardian) are subject to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware or Delaware state court;
you (if a minor, your parent or legal guardian) waive any right of change of venue, inconvenient forum or the like;
any action will be brought by you (if a minor, your parent or legal guardian) individually NOT as part of a class action);
your (if a minor, your parent or legal guardian on your behalf) recovery in any such action is limited to actual costs involved in participating in the Contest (if any), with all rights to attorneys’ fees and all damages (including special, compensatory, punitive, consequential damages) and other forms of relief being expressly waived.
Winners’ List. For winners’ list, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to “Vans Family Authentic Photo Contest” at the above address (DEPT: CB WNRS) for receipt by June 26, 2026. Winners’ list will be available after July 10, 2026.
