What is considered a little kids' shoe size?

Little kids' shoe sizes typically refer to sizes that fit children aged 3-7, ranging from size 10.5C to 3Y. These sizes are designed to be preschool shoes for kids who have outgrown toddler shoes but aren’t yet ready for big kids' sizes. Vans Little Kids shoes offer the perfect fit for this in-between stage.

What's the difference between "Children" and "Youth" sizes?

Children or "C" sizes cater to younger kids, generally from infancy to about age 7-8, with sizes spanning from 1C to 13.5C. On the other hand, "Youth" or "Y" sizes are meant for older kids, typically aged 8-13, and range from 1Y to 7Y, serving as a transition between child and adult footwear.

How do you measure little kids for shoes?

To measure your child’s feet, have them stand on a flat surface. Measure from the heel to the tip of the longest toe using a soft measuring tape or a piece of string, then compare this length against our size chart. Make sure to measure both feet, as one foot may be slightly larger. For the best comfort, always choose the size that fits the larger foot.
