SZA Steps Out at Paris Fashion Week in Custom One-of-One Vans by Rachel Goatley

SZA made a statement at Paris Fashion Week, appearing front row at the Louis Vuitton Menswear Show in a pair of custom one-of-one Vans designed by New York–based jewelry designer Rachel Goatley. The appearance marked SZA’s Paris Fashion Week debut and underscored her ongoing commitment to elevating emerging creative voices on fashion’s most visible stages.
An artist whose influence spans music, culture, and style, SZA also serves as Artistic Director of Vans. For the Louis Vuitton show, she wore Ladybug Garden, a 1-of-1 Vans Authentic. The pair transforms a classic Vans silhouette through fine jewelry craftsmanship, reframing footwear as wearable art.

Designed exclusively for SZA and never to be reproduced, the Ladybug Garden Authentic features handcrafted enamel lace locks made in sterling silver with yellow-gold plating, set with yellow and orange citrine, pink sapphire, emerald, and peridot. The design introduces material richness and precision detail typically reserved for heirloom jewelry, bringing a new level of craft to the front row.
In addition to the pair worn at the Louis Vuitton Menswear Show, Goatley created four additional one-of-one Vans for SZA to wear throughout the week in Paris. Each design is entirely unique and custom-made, expanding across Vans Authentic and Old Skool 36 silhouettes. The collection includes Enchanted Forest, Radiance, Camo / Earth, and Temperature Ctrl, with lace locks set in gemstones ranging from diamonds and sapphires to malachite, opal, pearl, and moonstone.




Goatley is a self-taught jewelry designer and Creative Partner at Greg Yuna New York, where she has spent over a decade designing fine jewelry rooted in intimacy, abstraction, and heirloom-level craftsmanship. This collaboration translates her visual language into footwear, resulting in singular, one-of-one expressions that merge jewelry design with everyday form.
By choosing to wear custom one-of-one Vans by an emerging female designer for her first Paris Fashion Week appearance, SZA positioned the front row as a platform for creative visibility, using one of fashion’s most public moments to spotlight craftsmanship, individuality, and new voices in design.
Later in the week, SZA will continue engaging with Paris through a community signing and product giveaway away from the runway, with additional details to be announced.
