The Old Skool gets a creative push from Jun Takahashi with artwork by Josep Baqué, a reclusive Barcelona-born worker by day who secretly created a vast bestiary of over 1,500 surreal hybrid creatures in the 1930s, blending human and animal forms with ink, gouache, and metallic accents. Unseen for decades and rediscovered in 2007, Baqué’s visionary illustrations now appear on the uppers of this iconic silhouette.
