Yes, our Site uses cookies.

This cookie policy ("Cookie Policy") applies to all digital means through which you can interact with us (collectively, “VF Digital Platforms”), which include the website www.vans.com/en-fi (the "Site"), our emails and mobile applications. VF Digital Platforms are operated by VF International Sagl, Via Laveggio 5, 6855 – Stabio, Switzerland (“we”, “our” or “us”) acting as data controller. For our general privacy policy, click here.

This Cookie Policy describes and informs you about our use of cookies and other tracking technologies, such as flash cookies, server logs, web beacons or pixel gifs, in the course of our business, when you interact with the Site or any other VF Digital Platforms.

Please note that third party websites, which may be linked to VF Digital Platforms, are not covered by this Cookie Policy.

By clicking the "Accept All" button on the Site's Cookie Banner or by setting your cookie preferences through our tool, you are agreeing to our use of cookies and similar tracking technologies in line with your current cookie preferences and in accordance with this Cookie Policy.

If you do not agree to our use of cookies and similar tracking technologies in this way, you should set your cookie preferences or browser settings accordingly. You will always be able to withdraw your consent and change your cookie preferences at any time through our tool.  Tracking pixels in our emails are not managed through the Cookie Banner. You will be able to withdraw your consent through the tracking opt-out link in the footer of our emails (see “Tracking technologies in our emails” below).

Once you have accepted the use of cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Site, notably through the use of the "Cookies preferences" function available on the Site's Cookie Banner, your preferences with regard to the use of cookies might be saved in the form of a cookie for your future visits to the VF Digital Platforms for as long as you do not remove the cookies stored on your device. If you don’t enable cookies that we use, some parts of the VF Digital Platforms may not work properly and some functionalities may be unavailable, depending on the type of cookie you have not enabled.

Cookies are small text files sent to your device by the Site and, possibly, by other VF Digital Platforms. Cookies are uploaded onto your device, thus allowing VF Digital Platforms to recognize you and store certain information concerning you, in order to permit or improve the service offered. A cookie will usually contain the name of the website from which the cookie has come from, the "lifetime" of the cookie (i.e. how long the cookie will remain on your device), and a value, which is usually a randomly generated unique number.

As regards the lifetime of cookies, two types of cookies may be used: "session cookies" and "persistent cookies". Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your browsing session. Persistent cookies remain longer on your device, for the duration of each specific cookie, and will remain valid until its set expiry date (unless deleted by the user before the expiry date).

Cookies can be used by web servers to identify and track users as they navigate different pages on a website and identify users returning to a website. Cookies do not normally contain information that directly identifies you, but personal information that we store about you may be linked to the information stored in and obtained from cookies.

Across VF Digital Platforms, we might also use other types of tracking technologies, such as flash cookies, server logs, web beacons or pixel gifs. These technologies are similar to cookies in that they are stored on your device and can be used to maintain information about your activities and preferences. Tracking pixels in our emails are described in the section “Tracking technologies in our emails” below.

We use different types of cookies.

All other cookies and tracking technologies not classified as “Required” are disabled by default and subject to consent.

If you enable Targeting cookies, this may result in your personal data being communicated to third-party online media, search and/or advertising platforms, to support targeted marketing and advertising campaigns and to measure and optimize the effectiveness of such campaigns.

This refers, for example, to the dedicated technologies implemented by Meta (Pixel, Conversions API), Google (Enhanced Conversions) and TikTok. Please refer to the below table for the full list of tracking technologies actually implemented on the Site.

These third parties might process your personal data, alternatively, as data controllers or data processors, according to their privacy policies and practices.

In any case, our cookies do not run programs on users' device nor upload viruses on it, and do not allow any kind of control over the device.

Cookies commonly used on this Site are listed in the table below. From time to time, we may also use additional cookies and tracking technologies not listed in this table. You may obtain an updated list of all cookies and tracking technologies used on this Site at the time of your visit upon request by contacting our Privacy Office (at privacy_europe@vfc.com).

Tracking technologies in our emails

Our emails may contain tracking pixels (also known as web beacons or pixel gifs): small, invisible images loaded when you open an email. They send us information such as whether and when the email was opened.
The purposes for which we use them (deliverability and list management, campaign measurement and personalization, profile-based targeting and fraud detection[SA7.1]), the data involved and the legal basis are described in our Privacy Policy .
You give your consent to tracking pixels together with your consent to receive our marketing communications. You can opt out of tracking pixels in our emails at any time by clicking the dedicated link in the footer of each email. This link is separate from the unsubscribe link: if you only opt out of tracking, you will continue to receive our marketing emails, but we will no longer track whether and when you open them. If you wish to stop receiving our marketing emails altogether, you can unsubscribe using the unsubscribe link in the same footer.

The relevant third party is responsible for providing you with information regarding the cookies they place and obtaining your consent before placing cookies on your device. We are not responsible for any content, privacy practises or use of the third party's website or mobile apps.
