At 16-years-old, Kader Sylla’s only been skating about half his time on this planet but has already achieved the envy of those double his age. Kader put old and young heads on blast in 2017 as part of Baker’s three-headed AM monster via a Thrasher Magazine-hosted video. Yet to reach his fighting height, weight, or even get through puberty, Kader’s proven that he’s not only skating’s future, but he commands the present like a veteran.
Plucked from the outskirts of Los Angeles, Kader caught the eye of Andrew Reynolds who not only offered him a spot on Baker’s prestigious roster, but a mentoring role. His skating has shades of Video Days-era Guy Mariano, in that his skill, precision, and trick selection is already refined and mature, hinting at inevitable innovation and dominance to come in the coming years, specifically the forthcoming Baker 4 full-length. Along with Stella Reynolds and the entire Carcass Crew and under the Boss’ tutelage, Kader’s skill, thirst for skate knowledge, and unique spark makes him primed to become a staple and a bright career to watch unfold.
