The Era Skate Jams

Introducing the Era Skate Jams. More than a shoe, this is a celebration of the past 50 years of Vans’ roots in skateboarding and the energy and community that carry us to the present day. A series of Jams across Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy, France and the UK.

In 2026, Vans reaffirms the Era’s place at the heart of skate culture, celebrating the origin story that shaped it. Influenced by slalom races, abandoned ditches, and later backyard pools, this period defined the style and attitude that forged the path for modern skateboarding—driven by pioneers like Tony Alva.

The ERA Skate Jams are built as authentic, grassroots skate gatherings that tap into the raw energy of skateboarding’s roots. Inspired by the heritage of pool skating, each stop features immersive props and set designs that recreate the feel of an authentic backyard session — creating spaces that are as engaging to watch as they are to skate.

While each city adapts to its local environment, every event remains part of one unified experience. Rooted in local skate culture and supported by Vans athletes, the ERA Skate Jams prioritize accessibility, community, and connection — inviting everyone to join the session and be part of the movement.
