Vans Hi-Standard Snow Series World Tour Returns

Vans kicks off 2017 with the return of the Vans Hi-Standard Series, an international all-ages open-jam format snowboard contest. Adding a new stop to the series in Switzerland and the grand finale in California, the global contest will tour across the US, Canada, Switzerland, Korea and France.

Open to all riders, the snowboard jam will feature an original big air jam format where riders are judged on individual style, with no rotations over 720 permitted. For the grand finale, Vans will bring a new, non-traditional feature into the fold by creating a unique custom-spec course.

Kicking off January 14 in Canada and Korea, the Hi-Standard Series offers free registration, lift tickets and food for all riders. In addition, the Hi-Standard Series will award over $50K in cash and prizes. The “Van Doren Rail Best Trick” will grant cash on the spot for the most creative maneuvers while Vans rewards the “Most Improved Rider,” “Worst Bail,” and names a deserving MVP on each stop of the tour.

Alongside the contest, Vans is thrilled to host the House of Vans workshops for non-competitors, giving spectators and family members a pair of their very own Vans to customize alongside an artist from each city.
