- The Old Skool gets a creative push from Jun Takahashi with artwork by Josep Baqué, a reclusive Barcelona-born worker by day who secretly created a vast bestiary of over 1,500 surreal hybrid creatures in the 1930s, blending human and animal forms with ink, gouache, and metallic accents. Unseen for decades and rediscovered in 2007, Baqué’s visionary illustrations now appear on the uppers of this iconic silhouette. With a canvas upper, a leather collar lining and padded collar, lace-up closure, higher sidewall, OTW by Vans x UNDERCOVER co-branded heel scab and footbed, reflective Sidestripe™ insignia, and cushioned insole, this is an Old Skool as it has never been seen before.
