This shoe really surprised me with its grip. I like the flexibility of the fabric. the only problem is that if you skate aggresivley and competativley like me the fabric starts to tear. the sides arent as strong as some shoes and peel after sliding up and down the griptape. all and all its the perfect shoe for anyone from begginner to pro.

These were my first pair of Vans, and I was somewhat disappointed by them. I've owned them since Christmas time, and started wearing them when I was able to skate. It is now the 1st of May, and the sole of my left foot has a large hole all the way through, and the right is almost all the way through as well. The soles on these shoes are not nearly as solid as I would expect from an esteemed company like Vans. Another complaint (although this might just be because I have stinky feet) is that these shoes don't breathe, and have picked up a terrible odor from me sweating inside them. I will be purchasing another model with gum soles to give Vans another chance. I wouldn't classify these as a skate shoe. The grip wore off much too quickly, and I have resorted to patching them using duct tape just to keep stuff from coming inside the shoe. A company that's been going for over 20 years shouldn't be making shoes that wear out in less than 5 months. However, I should say that I love how these shoes fit and how comfortable they are to wear. If you're looking for a comfy pair of walkarounds, these are a great choice. Just don't skate in them.

      Comments about Chukka Low, Men:

I believe that the chucka lows that I got have potential to look better. For instance some sort of Vans logo on the tongue of the shoe or a bigger one the side however maintaining the casual look. Also the laces need to be nicer as well. Y'all should consider putting like metal tips on them and possibly some sleek design on these plane old laces.

This Shoe Is A Really Fashionable Shoe For A Good Price. Personally My One And Only Con Is The Suede, It Gets Ruined Easily By Scuffs Or Water, but Other Then That The Shoe Is perfect For Skating, BMXing, Or Even Just Relaxing In Them, I Recommend You Buy Every Pair You Can Afford

i feel pretty medium about these shoes. they are a little too narrow and small but not enough to return them. the tongue is a little too thick but maybe it will break in. i like the material but i'm not in love with the black tongue. overall they are ok but not bothering me enough to return. maybe they will break in nicely

              Comments about Chukka Low, Men:

I have the HEMP/GUM rubber shoes. I'm not a skater so i don't care for the reviews where the shoes are falling apart. Aside from that the shoe is aesthetically pleasing(subjective) and I love the gum rubber. I absolutely despise white rubber soles because they are flimsy and quick to dirty. The insides seem to be pretty hefty with the material I can understand how one of the reviews say they don't breathe. I honestly don't care about that. I absolutely adore the shoes. Well made and aesthetic amazing.
