Omar Hassan

Coast Mesa’s legendary hometown hero, Omar Hassan, has been a part of our Vans family longer than anyone not named Van Doren. Omar began riding for our skate team over 30 years ago, starting back in 1986, and he’s been rocking the Sidestripe ever since. Hassan is widely regarded as the blueprint to the modern day all-terrain skater. Omar doesn’t just dabble in different disciplines he destroys them. He’s never been a bowl skater or a vert skater or a street skater – Omar is simply a skateboarder and one of the best ever.
