Interview

WHAT SHOE DO YOU RIDE?
Style 112s at the moment.. I switch between thicker and thinner shoes for different tricks.

WHAT SHOE DO YOU CHILL IN?
The new Ultra Range line is amazing! Those or the LXVI series always help give my feet some relief on the days I’m not riding.

WHAT’S YOUR BIKE SET-UP?
I ride my signature frame from Fiend with éclat parts. I like my bikes tall and light with big tires for drops and carves.

WHAT’S THE BEST TRIP YOU’VE EVER BEEN ON?
Going to Australia to film for Vans “Illustrated" has got to be a stand-out. Anytime in the van with good friends is a good time!

FAVORITE VANS RIDER?
Josh Harrington

WHAT TRICK CAN’T YOU DO THAT YOU WISH YOU COULD?
Toboggans

WHAT’S THE WORST THING THAT’S EVER HAPPENED TO YOU?
I’ve had a few bad injuries and stolen camera gear that set me back quite a bit, but I learned a lot from those experience and have tried to maintain the idea that you should learn from the things you go through; good or bad.

WHAT ARE SOME INTERESTS/HOBBIES OUTSIDE OF BMX?
I’ve been very passionate about filming, editing and photography for as long as I’ve ridden freestyle BMX. Documenting what we do seemed to come natural to me so I’ve stuck with it over the years. I’ve tied that passion into my own company; The Trip Apparel and spend a good amount of time working on that when I’m not on my bike.

LAST GOOD BOOK YOU READ OR MAGAZINE YOU LOOKED AT?
The last book would be Hunter S. Thompson's Hell's Angels. Magazines are pretty dead these days, but I enjoy the new releases of Endless Mag and other random BMX & non-BMX zines that pop up from time to time.

FIVE SONGS THAT HAVE TO BE ON A PLAYLIST?
I like a pretty wide variety of music so it depends on my mood I suppose. A few bands/artists I’m into at the moment are Amanaz, Witch (the African version), Mac Demarco, A$AP Mob and Curren$y.

FIVE ESSENTIALS FOR ANY ROAD TRIP?
Headphones, Vans gear, my bike, good vibes and friends!
