The Washed Herringbone Era 59, a low top lace-up skate shoe, features double-stitched textile uppers with leather accents, metal eyelets, signature rubber waffle outsoles, and padded collars for support and flexibility.
I ordered the green, washed herringbone Era 59s online a couple of weeks ago. My experience with them so far has been similar to my experience with every pair of Vans I've purchased – the quality and style are both excellent.
Vans are that rare sneaker that look as good with a pair of shorts and a t-shirt as they do with chinos, a tie and a sport coat. And, these are no different.
My only gripe (and it's a small one) is that the sizing can be a little inconsistent. I have a pair of black Era 59s in a size eight that fit perfectly, so I ordered the same size in the green ones. These are noticeably snugger, which I guess is only an issue if you're ordering online. But, that is how I typically order my shoes.
