The pair of shoes that we ordered had the wrong label in them, and did not fit my son. We live in NJ, and the shoes are shipped from California, so my son had already waited a week for the arrival of the first pair and was so excited to wear them to school. He was so bummed that they didn't fit. I called customer service to let them know of the issue, and the man I spoke with was exceptional. He sent another pair over night to our address, and I am sending the other pair back for a refund. It is hard to get such prompt customer service these days, and I have to applaud Vans for doing so. I wish I would have remembered the mans name that helped me, because he deserves the credit and the karma. In the end my son is wearing them everyday and loving them. The shoes are great for skateboarding, and the zipper back works great for getting my 8 year old easily in and out of the high tops. Normal hightop shoes can be a real pain for a younger kid to get on, so we love them. Thanks!!

I love vans and wanted to get some for my son. He's 4 and it's only been a week and one of the shoes soles on the top has come off so now I have to it him new again. Disappointed that they didn't last longer. This shoes was made poorly. I wear vans. It's my preference if shoes. But I guess they don't make the kids as great.

The shoes do not want to fit over my sons ankles. I have to help force them on. I had thought the zipper on the back would help but it has not. I thought the shoe would have stretched out to make it easier but it has not. Also the shoe strings are for adult shoes! You have to cut the shoe strings so he won't trip over them.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was prompt and the crew (an amazing group of employees) in the vans store were super helpful. They placed a special order so I could get the shoes I needed.

My 6 year-old had the shark high tops, with the velcro close and he loved them. I bought these as a replacement when he wore those out and the tie/zip close is so different. He can't get them on by himself. I have to loosen the ties all the way to the bottom just to get his foot in. I gave it two stars instead of just one, because it's possible that I should have gone up a size (I bought the same size as the shark ones, which fit him perfectly, and these ones are pretty cramped, so I don't know if they just run small?). So, a larger size might be easier? And they're also falling apart after just a few weeks, but, again, that might be because they're too small for him.
