Vault by Vans welcomes Deaton Chris Anthony (DCA) back to the helm, this time to launch a collection of footwear and apparel. The Los Angeles-based artist, musician and designer pays homage to his home state of Kansas and explores his quest to bowl the perfect 300.
Before becoming an artist, designer and a producer of the biggest hits for pop stars you know and love today, Deaton Chris Anthony called Kansas home. It is here where he thought he was meant to do one thing and one thing only – bowl. At the age of 12, he placed the highest score in his age group in the state of Kansas. He went on to become the bowling captain in high school and continued to grow his skills and demolished his previous high score with a 286 at regionals. As the years went by, DCA could never beat this high score. Those 14 missed pins haunted him.
After moving to Los Angeles he began to follow his creative pursuits and after a few years rediscovered his passion for bowling by focusing on a mission to make bowling stylish again.
