Vans Pro Skate Introduces New Colorways of the Crockett Pro
When we visited our signature pro, Gilbert Crockett, a few years ago at his mom’s house in Virginia, he was already making a pair of shoes by hand just because he was curious to learn how they were made. It came as no surprise when Vans offered Gil his own signature shoe that he’d want to have input on every possible aspect and attribute of the shoe from cut to colors to material to technology. Naturally, his attention to detail lends itself to making one of the greatest skate shoes in the line, full of bells and whistles.
Originally launched in Spring 2014 the introductory Crockett Pro is a union of craft and science featuring Vans’ revolutionary WAFFLECUP bottom unit construction and fully-fused DURACAP upper reinforcement technologies. The simple yet practical design of the Vans Crockett Pro affords skateboarders the ultimate synthesis of durability and support with grip and responsiveness in levels currently unmatched by any other maker.
For fall Gil comes with three new classic colors of his Crockett Pro: Dark Grey, Port Royale, Navy/Gum.
Like Gil’s skating, the Crockett Pro is a very smart and technological advanced shoe, disguised as something very simple and clean. Only his beautiful mind could concoct something so groundbreaking.
