Vault by Vans Introduces AMZN TRL V3 LX Designed by Taka Hayashi

This fall, celebrated Vans designer, Taka Hayashi takes inspiration from nature. Using Vans’ original Style #40 Buffalo Boot as a starting point, Hayashi drew references from the wavy path of the Amazon River and rainforest, and integrated the motif throughout the design language of the new style. Using river rock spiral etching and natural flowing lines, Hayashi translated these natural occurring elements to provide detail to the silhouette in order to highlight the newly introduced V3 UR MTE™ outsole. Meanwhile, the shoe’s hardware borrows from vintage backpacks and climbing ropes, referencing the mindful exploration and stewardship long practiced by nature lovers.

With a focus on providing a symbiotic harmony between design, comfort and performance, the Taka Hayashi AMZN TRL V3 LX comes equipped with a molded sock liner and the UR UltraCush™ EVA midsole for added comfort on the inside, and the MTE™ cold weather compound to bring traction for a boot that can traverse an undiscovered river path as effortlessly as a city street. 

Offered in two, nature-inspired executions including Marizpan/Pebble which incorporates the color of the earth and sand dunes in subtle variations of tan and khaki suede and nubuck. An orange sole adds interest, combining speckled pebble and tan with a black lug outsole, echoing the boots black hardware. A second multi-color offering of Deep Teal/Chalk Violet recalls rivers and sunsets with deep rich hues native to the Amazon and it’s forests.
