Vans Partners with MadeMe and X-girl to Present Limited Edition Footwear and Apparel Capsule

Vans comes together with women’s streetwear brands, MadeMe and X-girl to present limited edition women’s footwear and apparel. The Vans x MadeMe x X-girl capsule pays homage to the past, drawing influence from Vans’ extensive skate heritage from the early 1990’s across the reissued Wally footwear silhouette and accompanied by two colorways of a long sleeve tee. Vans x MadeMe x X-girl will be available to shop this December at Opening Ceremony’s New York location, X-girl stores worldwide and select Vans wholesale accounts.

“MadeMe picks up where X-Girl left off”, designer and creative director, Erin Magee explains. “The nineties are a consistent reference for MadeMe because it was a very exciting time for female-first culture. Together with X-girl and Vans, this collection captures the same 90’s energy for a new generation.”

First debuted in 1996, the Wally is reissued within this collection to include three updated colorways in light blue, maroon and black, which have all been outfitted in patent leather with contrast stitch detailing. The sidewall features the ‘Flying V’ Vans logo that was originally used in the ‘90s and is finished with fat cotton laces and a rubberized MadeMe x X-girl logo atop the tongue. The light blue and maroon footwear styles are finished with a black contrast sole, while the black patent colorway features a traditional white sole. Two long sleeve tees round out the capsule and capture the essence of downtown cool with pastel-hued bodies of pink and light blue. Each tee is completed with sleeve to sleeve striping and rubberized MadeMe x X-girl insignia at the chest.
