For years, there was a divide. Those who glided logs were on one side and those who rode shortboards existed on the other. Internationally renowned surf icon Joel Tudor didn’t give a damn about the divide. He cared about style. Influenced by surfing’s greatest pioneers, Joel rides what he wants to ride - plugs, planks, pins, stubs, eggs, fish, or skateboards. As contest director of Vans Duct Tape Invitational and part of Vans’ talented roster of surfers, Joel Tudor reinvigorates the excitement for singlefin surf style in and out of the water.

For Fall 2014, JT has helped to create a mash up of military and Aloha equipped for varying climates – a capsule of functional wear inspired by the waves and exotic destinations he has traveled.

Anchoring this collection is the JT Trimline trunk, a nod to the seminal surf stylists who came before him with narrow waistband, shorter outseam and modern floral print. The JT Admiral boasts the same unifying print - an effortless woven button down for post-surf hangs, which pairs well with the Ultracush Nexpa Synthetic sandal. Accompanying the sandal is the simple yet comfy easy fit Bali Surf Sider, equipped with a removable Ultracush Eco footbed.

The weather conscious JT Seahaven is a water-resistant and packable windbreaker while the heavyweight JT Hetch Parka with faux fur trim on the hood keeps you covered. Joel’s signature pants, the JT El Porto are slim fit and durable featuring front patch pockets and back button-pockets. Rounding out the capsule are the JT Merced, a warm, multi-knit crew neck sweater and signature JT pocket tee.

The ever-stylish Tudor was a catalyst for this “ride everything” movement. This fall brings forth a great Vans collection, put together by one of the most influential riders of our time.

The Vans Joel Tudor Collection is available now online or at select Vans retailers.
