Originally introduced as the Vans #95 in 1976 thanks to Z-Boys
Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta, the Era is a Vans classic through and
through. A lot has happened since then, including major upgrades in
progressing the Vans Era construction and comfort.
For twice the fun, the new Super ComfyCush Era literally builds upon the aforementioned style with a double outsole for a super comfy take on a platform shoe. The new styles feature the latest and most comfortable Vans technology featuring a newly constructed canvas upper and co-molded construction of foam and rubber for the perfect combination of both comfort and grip. In addition, the upgraded upper sees a simplified one-piece interior improve tongue stabilization and improve arch support, while moisture-wicking lining materials keep your feet even more comfort day in and day out.
To tell the ComfyCush Era story this season, Vans partnered with artist, Geoff McFetridge, featuring his artwork alongside his idea of comfort. “Comfort is the reward of creativity, you know?” McFetridge said. “The comfort isn't the process, the process is uncomfortable. Comfort is the reward of taking on challenges. If it was nice the whole time, I'm so suspicious of that, you know what I mean?”
