New Wayvee Receives Retro Spin with Help from Brighton Zeuner

Vans proudly unveils a new take on the Wayvee, designed from the ground up with input from skateboarders like Vans' Brighton Zeuner, who knows what it means to push the limits of style and progression.

Representing the latest evolution in Vans Skateboarding performance, the Wayvee comes together with an all-new upper construction, enhanced durability and a locked-in fits that last for the life of the shoe.  A staple on the Vans skateboarding team, Brighton brings her natural ability for flawless, graceful trick execution, as well as her distinct style - which often includes thrifted items - to the design inspiration for Vans latest iteration of the Wayvee.  For her signature look, Brighton took cues from timeless vintage pieces and cultural influences to incorporate a pastel colorway and a subtle '90s inspired daisy pattern - a nod to the same follower in her previous Vans collection representing a personal symbol for her, she explains.

The Wayvee's all-new upper construction boasts reinforced translucent mesh quarters for maximum breathability and flex.  The shoe is equipped with DURACAP for durability and finished with an interior LuxLiner for a secure fit.  Grounded in WAFFLECUP outsole, the Wayvee offers up the support of a cupsole with the boardfeel of a vulcanized shoe.

Brighton's signature Wayvee features a pastel pistachio green and limoncello yellow palette, evoking retro '50s and '90s flair while also standing the test of time.  Hints of floral on the mesh uppers and insoles, as well as the suede tongue and heel are complemented with Brighton's signature, which is embroidered across the heel counter.  Fuzzy yellow laces finish off the look, adding textural interest and a touch of whimsy.

Supporting the Brighton Wayvee is her apparel and accessories collection featuring classic daily drivers. The capsule includes pieces that speak to Brighton’s eclectic eye for fashion, including a flower baby tee in marshmallow, polo crew in dress blues, and Authentic Chino in terracotta.

Brighton Zeuner has accomplished more in her short career than many others have in their whole lives, becoming a 2x Vans Park Series champion and X-Games gold medalist all before she was old enough to drive. Now that she’s checked the Olympics off her to-do list, after competing on the world stage this summer in Tokyo, Brighton is still focused on what she loves: skating and having fun. With support from Vans and Frog Skateboards, Brighton continues to set the bar high as a trend setter and inspirational force influencing the future of skateboarding. Go inside her world in her latest short film, Vans Skateboarding Presents: Brighton Zeuner.
