Vans x Life Is Unfair – Loving Is Living
2025-12-09

Vans strengthens its on-going collaboration with London-based label Life Is Unfair with a trio of monochromatic Pony Hair styles presented in contrasting neon pink toy-boxes just in time for Christmas. The design celebrates friendship and craft with nods to collector culture and heritage nerdyness throughout; a custom stud print sockliner developed with London leather-crafting duo Ethan Toy and Coco Wohrle sits alongside window-box artwork featuring independent designer and CSM graduate Meg Wells and is finished with custom-made co-branded engraved heel studs.

Crafted for the archival Vans enthusiast, ‘easter-egg’ style callback details feature throughout with 1:1 replicas of early 00s shoe-tag stickers, original elements of 90’s era Vans shoebox artwork and a return to the original heel-label placement on the iconic heritage Mary Jane silhouette.
The collaboration consists of three Premium LX footwear styles, the Zebra Authentic 44 LX, a Marshmallow Half Cab 33 LX and a black to the floor Mary Jane WS LX.

To celebrate the launch, Vans and Life Is Unfair have built ‘Dance Demons’, a one-night-only video games arcade launching Saturday 6th December complete with classic titles, pool tables, hot dogs and live music. DJ sets from S.O.H.R and East London based heavy metal record store Crypt of the Wizard feature alongside a closing set from London based screamo project I’m Sorry Emil.
The collection will pre-release at the launch event followed by general release on December 9th available through: mylifeisunfair.com, vans.com, Vans London West End, Vans Le Marais and a host of hand selected retailers globally.
