Vans Syndicate x Harmony Korine

Vans Syndicate collaborates with auteur, provocateur and skater Harmony Korine. Harmony gained fame as the teenage writer of the controversial HIV-era cult classic film Kids that was set among the burgeoning mid-’90s New York skate scene in which he was immersed at the time. Harmony continues to write, direct and produce a growing body of influential films, books and works of fine art.

For this Vans Syndicate Authentic Pro “S” and Slip-On Pro “S”, Harmony created his own checkerboard pattern on canvas and suede with his original artwork featured in the footbed.

The hand-drawn checkerboard scribble comes in red and white on the Slip-On offset by a grey vamp and heel, while the Authentic features a black and white version of the Korine custom checkerboard pattern in combination with a grey vamp and white eyelets and laces. A black foxing stripe and Vans label ties the Harmony Korine x Vans Syndicate capsule together.

The Vans Syndicate x Harmony Korine project launches worldwide on Saturday, March 21st exclusively at authorized Vans Syndicate dealers.
