“Since 1999, my feet have been supported by Vans footwear. For the first year of my sponsorship, I would rummage around locally in Vans retail (or should I say Tennis!) stores, looking for survivors from the Vans’ factories in Santa Ana or San Diego. The “made in the USA” shoes were all I could skate in; I paid top dollar for many a pair. To this day, they are the only classics I will skate in.”
