X Games 15 Recap....

It was another long weekend at the X Games for the Vans team and it definitely didn't lack excitement! Here's the details on everything that went down...

Rob Lorifice got his first ever X Games medal by getting the bronze in Big Air. Rob also took the bronze in the Big Air Rail Jam.

Johnny Layton was a late addition to the Skate Street and he didn't disappoint with a solid performance that landed him in the number 9 spot against some pretty heavy competition.

After coming off a win at the Maloof Cup, Alex Perelson was the one to watch in the Vert final. Alex was going for broke, but was unable to put a solid run together leaving Bucky to battle it out with Pierre Luc for the gold. Bucky ended up with the silver after bailing on a "Mc Egg" in his final run.

Park seemed to be the most anticipated event of the X Games. It started with Alex Olson getting disqualified for being stuck in LA traffic! It seemed pretty simple to just move Alex into a later heat so I argued my point until some dude told me and I quote, "This is the X Games bro! He should have been on time." Point taken! Omar Hassan took the gnarliest slam of the weekend and was still able to skate into 4th place just ahead of Tony Trujillo who took 5th.
The stage was set for the Masters Division with Chris Miller being the clear favorite coming into Park, but Christian Hosoi had other plans as he went head to head with Miller. Hosoi ripped the park with endless lines until the final buzzer and ended up with the gold edging out Miller who bailed a blunt-slide over the death gap in the final seconds. Steve Caballero took 4th place respectively!
