Well I had two pairs of Authenitcs, One was Black with Gothic grape stitching and laces. The others were just black. My Gothic grape ones I skated for a month and already had needed a new pair or cover it with shoe goo. My others for casual wear were really good. There nice and stylish and can look good with almost anything....But It was pure black, and i could see stains so easily. And I only wore then inside places. No lie I would ride to a mall in my old shoes then change them once i get inside...Weird fetish but still.... This shoe is still worth its price.... I just don't recommend it for skating purposes unless its long-boarding or cruising.

After less than six months the fabric of my vans was peeling away from the soles of the shoes. I love my vans but when I tried to ask the company to replace the damaged shoes they put me through so many hoops that it ended up being after the six month period and they denied my request. I would love to feel good about buying another pair but I don't feel that it is safe to spend that amount of money if the company won't replace them when they fall apart after a very short amount of time.
My son has always loved vans over any other shoe brand. He tells me that if he was rich he would buy every color that you have his size. I hope one day he has enough money to buy what he wants.
