The Vans Surf Team and Vans' Get-N Classic, Vol. 2 film captured attention at surfing's biggest night, the 42nd annual SURFER Poll Awards held Thursday at Turtle Bay on the North Shore of Oahu. John Florence wasn't able to deny Kelly Slater of his 18th #1 Rider award, but followed up his Breakthrough Performer nod last year to appear in the Top Ten for the first time as runner up to the legend.
