Please "read the rest" below for information regarding the closing of Vans Skatepark in Orlando, FL in January of 2012.
We regret to inform patrons of the Vans Skatepark in Orlando that we will be forced to cease operations of the park in January 2012 as our lease is not being renewed due to re-development of the property. Everyone at Vans would like to thank the Orlando community, in particular thousands of skaters and BMX riders, who have welcomed us as well as the hundreds of staff who have made the Vans Skatepark at Festival Bay such a popular destination over the past decade.
The Vans Skatepark will continue to operate as normal through the end of the year and we will be holding special events to thank the Orlando community as the park comes to a close.
We urge skaters and BMX riders in Orlando to support other parks in the area. Vans will continue to support both skateboarding and BMX through our shoes and apparel, our sponsored team and special events throughout Florida, the East Coast and all over the world. Vans remains committed to Orlando with an upcoming store opening later this year at The Florida Mall that will join our other stores at Mall at Millennia and Orlando Fashion Square as well as our two Vans Outlet stores located in Orlando.
