Vans Welcomes Wade Goodall to the Surf Team

Vans is excited to introduce Australian surfer Wade Goodall as part of the Vans Global Surf Team roster. Hailing from the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia, Goodall, 24, spent his teen years establishing himself as a force in the competitive ranks, winning the Australasian Pro Junior Series in 2006 while also capturing titles on the global airshow circuit as he honed his skills alongside elite aerialists.
Since, Goodall has preferred a free surf program over competitions and with his huge airs, creative surfing and effortless style, Wade's considered one of the most talented young free surfers in the world. Goodall will represent Vans shoes as he is supported by Vans in his surfing and other creative endeavors.
“Wade represents a new generation of futuristic surfers that are multi-talented, in and out of the water,” said Vans Surf Marketing Manager Scott Sisamis. “At 24, he has already started to make a significant mark on the global surf scene and we are super psyched to have him join our crew.”
“I’ve worn Vans for as long as I can remember so to be sponsored by a company whose product you would go out and buy regardless, is pretty special,” said Goodall. “I’m really stoked to be part of the team.”
Over the next several months Goodall will be busy traveling and filming for the highly anticipated Kai Neville movie. Goodall will also be filming for his own popular website, Creative Destruction, which chronicles his life and travel.
