Parko Wins 1st Jewel in Vans Triple Crown of Surfing

Congrats to Joel Parkinson who made a story book return to pro surfing after six months on the sidelines with a foot injury. Parko, who scored a perfect 10 on his very first wave of the event, went on to win the Reef Hawaiian Pro at Haleiwa yesterday and is now leading in the prestigious Vans Triple Crown of Surfing series. Sunny Garcia took top honors in the Reef Clash of the Legends contest beating out fellow legends Mark Occhilupo, Tom Curren and Tom Carroll. Stephanie Gilmore captured the Cholos Hawaiian Pro Women's event at Haleiwa and now leads the Women's Vans Triple Crown of Surfing race.
