The Cliche' team had been on the road for three weeks and a few of the riders were hurt, so they gladly jumped in to judge the best trick. The kids were super hyped on this! They also offered up free boards to the top three winners. At first we only had seven people signed up, but with more prizes to go around and the Cliche' guys judging, we easily went up to about 15 contestants. There was about forty kids in all crowed on the china banks watching the locals throw down some serious hammers on the nine stair hubba. Local ripper Justin Dryson threw down a backlip, backsmith, and a 50/50 body varial out and took home a board for his efforts. Another new comer Trevor knocked out a over 50/50, nollie 5-0, and a noseblunt and won himself a nice new cliche board. The top shredder of the evening Damian Loud "and yes that's his name and yes he is very LOUD" took the free kicks and a board for his ridiculous Fake 5-0 down the hubba. The Cliche guys were stoked to judge the contest and everyone had a blast. We brought everyone out front to give the awards and take some pics. Join us next month for the big fun box!

Lights! Camera! Music! Good Skating! Good Times! and... ACTION! Ever heard Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart"? Well Jacob Watkins did just that with the first trick of the night being a radical back tail down the pyramid rail. Followed up by Matt Pinto's textbook lipslide. Fashionably late, Jacob Potillio, handed out a couple free spine tingles with his "oh so close" list of tricks. The one trick that stood out the most was his 50-50 body varial to switch 50-50 on the rail! He came so close so many times but couldn't get the right formula together to land it. Next trick was a smooth front-side boardslide from old local Dom Vincentz. Donnie Williams took some hard slams to bring you a crook across and down the rail! I want to also throw some props out to Chris "Mouse" Caravello, being the youngest skater in the contest, throwing down a mean boardslide. Mo Herard was back on the hunt again for his 360 flip lipslide that he tried last year at our September Shred contest on the rail. He was so close this year but ended up killing his board not the rail. Joe Ceravolo's tail slide to fakie definitely made all the girls scream and made the crowd go wild! So let's get down to brass tax...Jacob Watkins, he's 17, brown hair, loves long walks on the beach and loves to kill your local handrail! With his first couple attempts he looked like he wouldn't get anywhere close to it, but 8 tries later he lands a "never been done" bigspin frontside boardslide! Such a killer trick, it 100% deserved to be crowned this Month's Best Trick! Thank you for everyone that came out and gave support. Come check out next month's best trick where we are going to get gnarly on our big kinked hubba a.k.a. "The Moustache Ledge".
