Rookie Rider Ryan Dungey felt the pressure of Villopoto heading his direction and made a huge mistake cross cutting the same triple that he crashed on in his heat race. Dungey was ejected from his Factory Suzuki but with amazement was able to get up in a full sprint to remount his bike and continue riding in the lead. Villopoto soon took the lead away from Dungey to take the top spot on the podium!
