Malay Day is a three-part competition that will take place in Beaver Creek's Half Barrel Half Pipe, The Lumber Yard, and The Rodeo Terrain Parks. It will be a top to bottom jam lapping the Centennial Express Lift (Chair 6), and will include rails, big air and a half-pipe competition. To commemorate one of Josh's snowboard goals, "to destroy the mountain and everything on it", the best overall rider of the day will be recognized and receive a 2009/2010 SeasonPass. A DJ, Big Daddy King & Company, will be spinning all day, free food will be available for all participants, and additional prizes will be awarded at random to those who impress the judges. Bring your best skills! The Coyote Cafe is hosting the after-party.
Malay Day is open to all ages, genders and disciplines. Participants must register for the contest at the Coyote Cafe in Beaver Creek Village from 8:30-10 a.m. on April 9. The registration fee is $15. Those under 18 must bring a parent to registration to sign waivers. Participants may purchase a special $50 lift ticket for the day of the event at registration.
For more information visit Beavercreek.com or call Michael Holton at 970-754-5296 or Kevin Rowe at 970-390-4484.
