Vans Riders Dominate at Supercross Opener!

In the Lites class, Weimer and Morais got the series started in style, finishing heat one in first and second place, respectively. Heat two was Lawrence's turn to show what he's got in store for the new year, and he convincingly tore through the Anaheim circuit to win by a comfortable margin. When the gate dropped for the Lites main event, all three guys got out to great starts, but unfortunately for Lawrence, he got a little too loose while railing through turn two, and was forced to pick himself up off the Anaheim soil near the back of the pack. Meanwhile, up front, Weimer and Morais took over the first and second positions, respectively, and freight trained their way to a very impressive 1-2 podium sweep! J-Law rebounded to finish the main in the fifth spot.
In his debut in the premier Supercross class, Ryan Villopoto immediately served notice that he will be a major player aboard his Monster Energy Kawasaki KX450F. After grabbing the holeshot in Supercross heat number one, RV never looked back, and motored on to a seemingly easy victory. In the highly anticipated Supercross main event, Villopoto didn't get out to the start that he was hoping for, but battled his way through adversity to finish the night in a very respectable fifth place!
