Vans Welcomes Rising Surf Star, 15 Year-Old Leila Hurst To The Team

Born and raised on the island of Kauai, Hurst has been surfing since the age of four, honing her skills at her favorite breaks in Hanalei Bay. When she's not ripping waves throughout Hawaii, Hurst, who is known for her energetic, bubbly personality, enjoys dancing, music and traveling.
"Leila's had a great year and has always shown loads of potential," said Vans Surf Marketing Manager Scott Sisamis. "We are very proud to have her on board and think she's an awesome addition to the Vans family."
"I am excited to join Vans and love that you can really be your own person here," said Hurst.
The signing of Hurst to the Vans Surf team underscores Vans' commitment to surfing, which includes the annual jewel of the sport, the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing Oahu's North Shore, as well as the Vans Pier Classic presented by Jack's Surfboards and the Vans El Ponto Loco presented by Sun Diego.
