Early Riser or Snooze Button?
Early Riser by choice, Snooze Button by nature
Flats or Heels?
Flats during the day, heels at night!
Out all night or early start?
Prefer early start but I’ve definitely been known to pull some all nighters!
What do you love/hate about being on the road?
I love seeing new places and meeting new people, but don’t really like to eat out; I miss my kitchen... so if I drive I travel with a cooler.
Best thing about being a pro snowboarder?
For the most part being on my own schedule, of course traveling around the world with good friends, and having amazing photographers and a film crew document it all for me to look back on when I’m older.
One of you favorite moments?
Sitting with a friends and a hookah on a boardwalk in Istanbul, Turkey... watching the sun set over the Mediterranean and Black Sea thinking, I’m at work right now.
Your Best / Worst Travel story?
Best: It was actually a surf trip to El Salvador. It's beautiful there, with 80 degree water and no one on the beach.
Worst: Traveling to Switzerland for the first time for junior worlds, they lost my bags, and I got strep throat. I didn’t get them until the end of my trip, and then I lost my camera. Flew straight back to Colorado for nationals where they lost my bags again for 3 days. Two huge trips I was so excited for when I was 16, and I didn’t have my snowboard stuff for either of them!
Sponsors?
Vans Boots & Outerwear, Nomis, Dragon, Elm, Drop, Skullcandy, Active
Advice you could give?
Drink a lot of water and take care of yourself, you only get one you.
Art inspiration?
Ideas just pop into my head out of the blue when I see random things. Could be anything from a person, to a car commercial, or looking at the ground out of an airplane. I wouldn’t say one thing inspires me, it’s more like everything I look at inspires me in some way or another.
Favorite artist?
Don’t have one yet.
Favorite time to create a new piece?
I usually paint when I have heavy things on my mind, which isn’t necessarily my favorite time! But I really enjoy working on stuff when someone else is around doing emails or something quiet, just sharing space and energy with someone.
Hometown?
Anacortes, WA
Favorite Snow spot?
Whistler backcountry
Favorite trick ?
Frontside Handplants
Hardest trick to master?
For me its cab spins on jumps. The easiest trick on earth for everyone else, but not me! Ha!
