Showdown in 3 days time, obstacle names released...

Time is getting tight. This reporter (if that's the proper term) has been handed the obstacle names for this Saturday's Showdown. Use your illusion folks, imagine, think hard...
Last year the REAL team came correct with the "Hella Hyphy Bank". Real is back by popular demand and this year's submission is dubbed the "Sacto Rebate". Being of the nor-cal roots, I can think of at least 2 distinct references as to why Thiebaud and crew went with this naming convention. What remains to be seen is just what Sacto era and context this monster has been pulled from. You have to understand that Sacto skate blood runs thicker than Tennessee crude. Whatever it is, it's going to test the will and nads of every man jack of the lot. Trust in that.
Girl's prior entry into this madness was the "Mini Mega" a 1/6th scale replica of the big x-games stunt jump. This year, in a twist of ebonics, and classic street phenomena reference, the Girl squad submits for your approval the "Girl Gonz Wild". The question is, will Mark Gonzales come out of perpetual nomadic hiding and perform an installation of epic proportions? The name alone for the Girl piece has a lot of people wondering, and it will no doubt surpass any expectations.
The foundation crew was on fire last year, content to send heavy Corey Duffel in to school the Element heads on their own set piece, as well as getting the rest of the team out there to kill it all around. After a year off in the design department, Foundation returns with the "Former World's Biggest Skateboard". I tried to ride that thing once, it takes about 9 guys to make it even turn. Obviously something went wrong, and now one can only imagine the deconstructionist tactics that are behind the Foundation mystery this year. Whatever it is, it's sure to be large.
Creature isn't highly known as being street oriented, at least to the uninitiated. What needs to be known is that the Creature crew is an all-terrain death metal kick murder squad bent on your destruction as well as their own. Swinging direct from the bowels of lower hell, the Creature obstacle is slated to be "The Darkest Passage Into The Depths Of Doom And Despair". Warning, this obstacle may not be suitable for younger viewers of those with squeamish tendencies or fear of death. A rumor was going around of industrial saw blade lined walls and a sacrificial goat carcass, but I have a feeling that no one can imagine anything as terrifying as what the Creature crew has in store.
We're currently negotiating an infiltration deal to document these obstacles before the event, but such things are often impossibly dangerous. Keep it here at Vans.com for updates, and tune in for the live webcast on Saturday. Blood will be spilled, souls will be sold, and all hell will definitely break loose.
