Design Your Own Obstacle and Win!

If you think you have the skills to create an obstacle on par with Element, Real, Girl and the like, then write it down, draw it up, post it, and you could win big. Email your obstacle drawings to: dtsd2007@gmail.com to enter. Your entry will be judged by the Vans skate team and the top vote-getter will have your obstacle custom built at the location of your choice by the same people who build the Vans Downtown Showdown obstacles.
Because we want the contest to be about skateboarding creativity and not money, we are limiting entries to those ideas that can be built for no more than $10,000 in materials. Once your design is entered, it will be posted at www.vans.com/dtsobstacle, where you'll be able to check your idea against other entries, rate them, and comment on them. It doesn't matter if it's scribbled on a piece of folder paper or drawn on in C.A.D. software, it's all about the creativity and the skatability of the obstacle
