The 50 Semi Finalists for this year's Vans Custom Culture competition have been announced! Head over to see the submissions and vote for your favorite pairs of customized Vans. Your votes will decide our five finalists that we'll fly out to New York for an exclusive event at the Whitney Museum of Art, where we'll crown a winner and award a $50,000 donation to that school's art program. Voting ends on May 13th!
Huge congrats goes out to Vans Skate Team rider Pedro Barros who took the win this past weekend at X-Games Brazil. This comes as no surprise as he has been killing it, winning Gold three times in four years and taking the win in his home country. Check out his practice and winning run.

Don't miss out on registering for Vans Skatecamp this summer at Vans Skatepark in Orange, CA. There will be six weekly sessions offered starting July 8th and spots are limited. Skateboard instruction is offered for street skaters ages 6 - 16. Camp runs Monday - Friday from 8am - 12pm and includes a day pass to ride for the rest of the day. Cost is $170 for members and $195 for non-members. We'll see you this summer!

Amidst the Olympic fever of Summer 2012, we ventured to Athens, where economic uncertainty fermented an apprehensive disquiet. Exploring the legacy of the 2000 Olympic Games seemed apt. We reconnoitered the Olympic Village for uncharted skate spots, the promise of the Kayak Centre's endless banks never fully realized thanks to unrelenting police scrutiny. Each year, we ask some of our favorite artists, designers, celebrities, athletes and tastemakers to design a pair of blank canvas Vans, no restrictions whatsoever, to inspire the high school students participating in the competition.
