Vans is proud to announce that our own Karina Petroni has qualified for next year's women's World Championship Tour (WCT) on the strength of her 3rd place finish at the Reef Hawaiian Pro yesterday in Haleiwa at the first stop of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing.
The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing begins on November 12, 2007 with the Reef Hawaiian Pro at Haleiwa. Surfline is already predicting solid surf for the first event and Surfing has counted down the top 10 moments in Triple Crown history.
Stop by either park to sign up for the November skate clinic happening Saturday, November 17. Skateboard instruction will be offered for beginner to advanced street skateboarding. Cost is $40 for members and $50 for nonmembers. The clinic will run from 8am - 12pm, and spots are limited so sign up early.

The Vans' Sky Gallery project culminated with an art show at New Image Art Gallery in West Hollywood on November 2nd. Each of the artists, Marco Zamora, Derek Albeck, Sage Vaughn, Kelsey Brookes, Cole Gerst and Jophen Stein, represented with original art, prints and screened t-shirts and a cool 'zine put together by Derek.
Each year the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands gives over 10,000 local and emerging bands the opportunity to compete for the chance to play on the Vans Warped Tour in their hometown. The best of the best of those bands will be playing this November 29th at the Key Club in West Hollywood. Headlined by VWT veterans MXPX, the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands event will be one of the hottest parties to hit Hollywood this year. Tickets are just $10- so click below for more information.
Both parks will be hosting the "Man, I Need Vans Game of S.K.A.T.E." on Saturday, November 10 at 3:00pm. Winner of each age division wins a year's supply of Vans shoes (12 pair per winner). Registration starts at 11:00am the day of the contest and there is no entry fee! There will be two age divisions, 6 - 13 and 14 +. There will be limited spots available so show up early for registration.
