Mt. Hood in Oregon is home of the Vans Hi-Standard Double Big Air contest this Thursday, June 20th. Style is everything in this contest, as no spins over a 540 are allowed. The top three winners are paid out from the $3,000 prize purse, with $500 going to the Vans best trick of the day! Registration starts at 8am and discounted lift tickets are available to competitors. Lakeridge High School Wins Vans Custom Culture

Students from Lakeridge High School (Lake Oswego, OR) claimed top prize on Tuesday, June 11th at the Vans Custom Culture Art & Design Showcase at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. Lakeridge's four Vans shoe designs were initially chosen from over 1,000 submissions across all 50 states and with the top honor, Lakeridge High School receives a $50,000 grant towards the school’s art programs.

Vans Presents Vans Damage Inc. Stage and Vert Ramp at Orion

Vans Pro Skate has partnered with Metallica to present the Vans Damage Inc. Stage and Vans Vert Ramp at Metallica's Orion Music + More festival, June 8 - 9 on Belle Isle in Detroit, Mi. Vans has been invited back for a second year to partner with Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo to build out the Vans Damage Inc. Stage and a 13-foot tall x 30-foot wide Vans Vert Ramp.
Watch live bands performing alongside some of the world's best professional skateboarders as they tear up the Vert Ramp that connects off the music stage. Legends and pro skateboarders including Steve Caballero, Christian Hosoi, Tony Trujillo, Alex Perelson, Sam Beckett, Omar Hassan, Peter Hewitt, Lizzie Armanto and Giorgio Zattoni will all be in attendance this weekend for demos and autograph sessions.
Continuing the special partnership between Metallica and Vans, the Trujillo Trio is back for their triumphant return to Orion. Tony Trujillo and wife Ashley team up once again with Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo for a special performance on the Vans Damage Inc.
