This travel-based, documentary style snowboard film aims to not only show the best snowboarding on some of the farthest reaches of the planet, but also the story behind what it takes to get there. "The Art Of FLIGHT" showcases the incredibly talented snowboarding of Vans team riders Mark Landvik and Eric Willett alongside Travis Rice and many other guest stars as they trek to mountains across the globe in search of the perfect shred. With a bigger budget, a larger crew and the experience of their previous endeavors, Brain Farm Cinema has created a film that will once again set the standard for every action sports movie, no matter what the discipline, to follow for years to come. Vital BMX Game of Bike presented by Vans this Saturday

The second annual Vital BMX Game of BIKE is going down this Saturday, October 1st at Vans Skatepark in Orange, California! See 28 of the top riders go head-to-head for bragging rights and some serious dough. All of the profits from the event are going straight to the Athlete Recovery Fund. Back by popular demand, Vans once again joins forces with The Magic Store and W!LDBRAIN Entertainment for a new Vans x Yo Gabba Gabba! collection just in time for the holiday season. Whether its story time, dancey dance time or making funny faces, the Vans x Yo Gabba Gabba!collection features four new styles and will fit the whole family. Brobee, Foofa and Muno are featured in a full character color Slip-On along with one style that includes all the beloved faces of the Yo Gabba Gabba! crew.
This collection represents the fun of both the Vans brand and the Yo Gabba Gabba!series. The packaging is designed with Vans skate culture and Yo Gabba Gabba!flare. Customers can interact with their favorite characters by coloring the box to make it their own. Even character details are showcased in the shoe designs. Brobee, the only character who changes facial expressions, is mimicked in the shoe style with one shoe featuring a happy face and one with a sad face.
The new styles will be available in toddler (4 – 10), kids (10.5 – 4) and adult sizing (3.5 – 13) retailing for $32, $37 and $50 respectively. Vans is excited to team up with the popular series for another very colorful collaboration that is sure to be a hit for all ages. Dakota Roche Scores Cover of DIG BMX Magazine

Within 3 weeks of scoring his first cover of BMX Plus!, Vans team rider Dakota Roche scored his second cover shot this month with a man-sized ice-pick grind down a 21-stair rail of the September/October issue DIG BMX Magazine. Quite a month for the HB local; a bronze medal at X Games, two covers and now he is over in Europe on a huge Cult trip. Life is good. Announcing the 2011 Vans Triple Crown of Surfing

The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink, is pleased to announce its upcoming winter surf season in Hawaii that will be the final stop of the 2011 Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Tour, crowning this year's men's world surfing champion! The Series will run from November 12 through December 20, on the North Shore of Oahu, and will offer a total prize purse of $830,000. The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing is the most prestigious surfing series in the world, featuring the top rated surfers in some of the largest waves on the planet.
September Shred Skate Contest at Vans Skateparks this Saturday

Don't forget this Saturday, September 24th, both Vans Skateparks in Orlando, FL and Orange, CA will be hosting the 4th annual September Shred Skate Contest. Registration starts at 10am and the contest gets rolling at 1pm. Prizes include $500 for 1st place in the sponsored division, $300 for 1st place in the ages 14+ division and giant sponsor prize packs for 1st place in the ages 6 - 13 division. Come out and join us!

Ryan Villopoto Makes it a Double Championship Year

What an accomplishment for Vans Monster Energy Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto who completed a perfect '11 season earning both the AMA Supercross Championship and his first 450-class AMA Motocross Championship! How did he follow that up? Well, he helped lead Team USA to its seventh-straight victory at the Motocross of Nations (MXoN) at Circuit du Puy de Poursay in St. Jean-D'Angely, France. Congrats, Ryan and Team USA!
Vans DQM General NYC Now Open

Vans' first store in Manhattan, the Vans DQM General in SOHO is now open. Located at 93 Grand, the Vans DQM General is Vans’ first store in Manhattan and the co-branded project with local skate and streetwear purveyor DQM is the first of a kind in the United States for Vans.

Supply And Demand Show at House of Vans this Past Weekend

The Supply and Demand Show was a group show at House of Vans in Brooklyn, NY featuring works by Chris Yormick, Rich Jacobs, Russ Pope and Jay Howell. It opened this past Saturday night, September 10th to a great crowd of folks who ventured out to see this truly unique show and installation. The artists arrived a week earlier to paint the ramps for the show, which turned out amazing. There was a gallery space where folks could purchase some original work, dj, drinks, food trucks, it was quite the event. Take a look at photos and stayed tuned for a video as well.

Alex Knost Wins Vans Joel Tudor Duct Tape Invitational in Malibu

The Vans Joel Tudor Duct Tape Invitational went down this past weekend, September 9 and 10, at world-famous Surfrider Beach in Malibu, CA, with 16 of the best longboarders in the world riding 12-lb, single fin leashless boards along with some serious style and nose riding all for a $10,000 purse. The first Southern California stop of the series came through with fun surf, beautiful weather and big crowds and was held in conjunction with the Malibu Surf Association's MSA Classic. After whittling the initial 16 down to the four finalists, Alex Knost took home $4,000 for first place, Justin Quintal $3,000 for second, Christian Wach $2,000 for third and Harrison Roach pocketed $1,000 for fourth spot. Knost's win in Malibu follows a first place finish in the Duct Tape Invitational in Santa Cruz earlier this year.
Introduced last year at the East Coast Surfing Championships in Virginia Beach, the Duct Tape Invitationals are an innovative series of events Vans developed with Joel Tudor showcasing longboarding in its purest aesthetic and pushing the envelope on traditional longboarding technique. In addition to Virginia Beach, Vans has brought the Duct Tape Invitational to legendary Ditch Plains in Montauk, NY, Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz, CA, and Playa Salinas in Salinas, Spain.

4th Annual September Shred Skate Contest at Vans Skateparks

It's that time of the year again! Time for the 4th annual September Shred Street Contest at each Vans Skatepark (Orange, CA & Orlando, FL). On Saturday, September 24th both parks will be hosting the contest which will include cash prizes and tons swag for the winners. Come out and see your locals give it their best. Get Out & Do Something Tour Video and Photos

In August of 2011, legendary Vans pro skateboarders Ray Barbee and John Cardiel toured seven Vans stores in Texas and Oklahoma on the Get Out and Do Something Tour. Barbee and the Mattson 2 played live sets in each store, and Cardiel spun his favorite tunes. Prizes were given out to fans and fun was had by all! TransWorld Ride BMX will host its prestigious NORA Cup Awards show for the 15th year honoring BMX's number one riders in seven various categories. The award is determined by polling pro BMXers. Dean Wilson Claims his First Motocross Championship!

A huge congratulations goes out to Vans Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Dean Wilson as he clinched the 2011 AMA Motocross 250 Lites class Championship with a 1-1 finish at this past weekends race held at Steel City Raceway in Delmont, PA. Dean's done it with one race left to go in the 2011 season, and only his second year of professional motorcycle racing!
