At 17 years of age, Ashley just recently turned pro and is also the first female to join the Vans Motocross family. The St. Augustine, Florida native is looking forward to a successful rookie season in the WMA series.

The Ultimate Boarder is a competition that showcases the top talents in surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding. Watch for Vans athletes, Kurt Wastel who placed 8th in the snowboarding portion, and Nathan Fletcher competiting in the finals for surfing to make a run at the title. Vans team riders Andrew Doheny and Sage Erickson have been selected for this years junior athlete USA Surf Team. After six months of training and evaluation, Andrew and Sage will travel to Hossegor, France to compete in the 2008 Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships.

Congrats to Vans FMX team rider Mat Rebeaud for winning first place at the Motocross Freestyle International Red Bull X-Fighters in Mexico! Mat pulled numerous backflip combos to beat out 12 of the world's best riders and earned him the points lead in the series standings. The international series heads to Brazil then makes it's first U.S. stop in Dallas, TX...good luck Mat!

Day 1: J&E / Quicken Boarshop, El Paso Texas Adventures of the Vans Catch the Bus Tour. Led by "The Super Mario Brothers" Bob P. and Mario B. Location was The Carolina Skatepark this was awesome start to a "Vantastic Adventure". Mario at the grill, Bob at the wonderful munchies and Luis & Mike from Quicken Boardshop assisted with the huge assortment of giveaways. The crowd of kids steadily grew with excitement. The entry box for the Vans Pro Tec Pool Party sweepstakes was full "great response since everybody would love to win a trip Cali for the event of the "year" at our Vans Skatepark where legends are made.
