To usher in Halloween 2007, New York-based Dactyl Foundation will host an exhibition called Closed Casket, See You At The Bottom featuring works from the elusive graffiti artist and Vans contributor Neck Face. The exhibition will open on Wednesday, October 31 and end on Saturday, November 24 at Dactyl Foundation 64 Grand Street, New York, New York.
The Vans team heads to Alaska for some fishing, surfing and digging? Team riders included Reef McIntosh, Ratboy, Russell and Tyler Smith, Karina Petroni, Tanner and Dane Guduaskas.

The all-new Tony Hawk's Proving Ground features Vans team rider Dustin Dollin and the Vans Downtown Showdown event. Not only that but once again you'll have the ability to unlock the special-edition Vans in the game. Check it out.
Gary Young flew to Shanghai this past weekend for a comp at the World's
largest skatepark. The event was called the SMP Shanghai Showdown and Gary
killed it by winning the BMX Park contest. Word is the bowls are 20 feet
deep. Congrats Gary on the win.
Congrats go out to Ryan Guettler who pulled his first 1080 on dirt and Scotty Cranmer who pulled a 3-flip turndown to x-up at the recent Dew Tour in Orlando. In addition, Luke Parslow won the Dirt finals and Daniel Dhers took Park as well as the overall Dew Tour Title.
The works of Marco Zamora, Sage Vaughn, Kelsey Brookes, Cole Gerst, Derek Albeck and Jophen Stein will be featured at NEW IMAGE ART GALLERY, November 2-4, 2007.

Congrats to Vans team rider Ryan Villopoto who grabbed the cover of the December issue of Transworld Motox. Ryan has had quite a year and this cover is well deserved.
Congrats to Vans team riders Bucky Lasek and Luke Parslow for bringing home Gold this past weekend in Orlando at the AST Panasonic Open. Bucky secured his Gold at the final '07 AST stop with a 95.5 score on his second run. Parlsow put together two solid runs which were enough to edge out the rest of the competition. Skateboarding on a giant skateboard placed on a parking block, by far the gnarliest obstacle of the whole contest. It dosen't get any better than this.
From the Vans Downtown Showdown 2007, it's Real Sacto Rebate Obstacle. This is a throwback obstacle tribute to skateboard contests of the past and proved a real challenge on Saturday.
Vans threw a little party to celebrate the public opening of our new offices on October 4th complete with Wahoo's Fish Tacos, a Steve Van Doren barbecue, plenty of drinks, performances from MXPX and Royal Crown Revue and a kicking session on the new mini ramp.

Between the pollen and the heat in Sacramento California in 1987, most of us felt like dying, to bad it was a skateboard contest and that's just not allowed within such confines...
It's t-minus one day and counting for the Vans Downtown Showdown which will be shown live on vans.com on Saturday at 5 pm PST (With the pre-event show starting at 4 pm). With the event going on tomorrow, we wanted to provide a bit of an update on the expected teams and the obstacles they'll be shredding.
Catch Josh Borden and Omar Hassan on FUEL's Daily Habit. The show airs TODAY (Friday) at 6pm (PST) and again at 9pm (PST). It also re-airs twice on Saturday at 11:30am and 2:30pm. That's 4 chances to catch the show!
On Oct. 20th at the Vans Skatepark in Orlando, Florida, Shadows Fall will be playing a free show. To make sure you get into the show you must pick up a wristband at the select Vans store locations by 10/20.
On Saturday, October 27th from 8am -12pm both skateparks will be hosting an instructional skate clinic. Instruction will be available for Beginner to Intermediate street skateboarders. Cost is $40 for members and $50 for non-members. Spots are limited so sign up today at your local Vans park.

Vans Style Day Event At the Montage in Laguna Beach CA

On June 28th Vans Descended on the Montage Resort and Spa in Laguna Beach, CA and hosted an amazing event for the retail accounts in Southern California. The girls who attended came for a day of manicures, pampering and gift bags as they previewed the up and coming Spring 2008 clothing line and got to know the girls behind Vans. Congrats to Steve Caballero who once again took home the Masters Title at the 9th Annual Tim Brauch Memorial Skate Jam which wrapped up last weekend in Scotts Valley, California.
Congrats to Cam White for taking the Playstation Trick of the Week Contest at last week's Toyota Challenge. Cam won it with a Barspin Tailwhip Backflip beating out Scotty Cranmer's Frontflip Tailwhip. Way to go and congrats.
Team USA killed it at Buds Creek and won the MX Nations. The USA Team consisted of Ryan Villopoto (Vans Team Rider), Tim Ferry and Ricky Carmichael. Ryan wins the first and second moto. Congrats!

Downtown Showdown Live Webcast at Vans Skate Parks

Come watch a live webcast of the Vans Downtown Showdown live from Los Angeles at both Vans Skate Parks on Saturday, October 13th. Orlando will be telecasting the first three hours of the Showdown from 7pm - 10pm EST. The Block will telecast the entire event from 4pm - 10pm PST. There will be giveaways and prizes at each park.
