The Vans crew just returned from a week in Guam riding skateparks, snorkeling and doing demos for the troops at the US Navy base. Guam is a small tropical island about 1400 miles off the coast of Japan that has been inhabited for about 4000 years. Right now is a US territory and has insane scuba, snorkeling and a kick ass skatepark. This is the Van's team's 3rd time to Guam (2007 & 2010) and it was just as hot as the last two trips. Watch out for the video of Gary Young, Alistair Whitton, Michael Steingraber, Dennis McCoy, Coco Zurita and Ryan Guettler getting tropical in the next couple weeks. Big Thanks to Bill Marx with the NEX for all the hospitality.

This photo of Simon is an Allyoop no-handed 540! Simon finished the night with a traditional 900 that he pulled right off the side of the ramp, taking out a camera man from NBC.Great show on the beach tonight in Maryland, good job to all six competitors and especially Simon Tabron for making podium.

X Games Invites, Vans Team Coming in Hot!
5/21/12
Vans just made a big splash in the X Games list with riders invited from every BMX discipline. Simon Tabron will be kicking it in Big Air and Vert with DMC and Coco Zurita teaming up on the vert ramp as well. BMX Park is pretty stacked with Scotty Cranmer, Gary Young, Chase Hawk, Kyle Baldock, Pat Casey, Diogo Canina, Rob Darden, Bas Keep and Daniel Sandoval. Chances of an all Vans podium are pretty good for that one! Street will be a treat with Dakota Roche, Ty Morrow, Bruno Hoffman, Sean and Sexton throwing down, but look for a few more Vans riders to make it in before everything is said and done.

Coco at China X
5/4/12
Coco Zurita checked in with us."It's been a great time out in China, I ended up 5th place in Vert and 9th in Mini-mega.
X Games China was really fun, it was sweet to ride a Vert ramp after 4 months.
I've been trying to get as much as I can out of this trip, hitting up skateparks like SMP, filming, and shooting photos. I also stopped by a Vans retail store in a mall, they have some sick shoes. Chinese dudes know whats up!
I am heading to Woodward Beijing tomorrow to get some riding in.
Good times!"

Coco Zurita Blasts at Mega Ramp Invitational
6/10/11
Coco Zurita just got back from South America two days ago and he is already going bigger than ever. Mega Ramp held a pro invitational at Woodward West this week and Coco took flight right from the get-go. While most riders were doing big tricks over the gap and barely airing the quarterpipe, Coco was speed jumping the gap and blasting 15ft + airs on the massive quarterpipe. Check the photos, Coco is nuts and walked away with 6th place and a better view than most people will ever see of Tehachapi.
Coco's Chilean Adventure Day 2
6/3/11
Today Coco and Colin hit the road west to check out a beach town called Valparaiso about 2 hours west of Santiago. After getting the boot from a couple skateparks on the way, Coco remembered a crazy ribbon structure off the highway that he always wanted to ride but never had the chance. A little 4x4 action up and over the curb and they were in the mix with trucks flying by at 90kpm. It was a pretty wild scene with cars honking and guys riding bikes on a giant concrete ribbon in middle of nowhere. Later on at the beach, Coco found a shark fin wallride thats he's ridden a bunch and made for some good wallride 180 photos. Tomorrow there is a Vans demo and another video session at the skatepark that Coco's dad runs near the house.

Coco's Chilean Adventure Day 1
6/2/11
Coco Zurita made a trip back to his homeland of Chile with fellow Vans team mate Colin Mackay. The two riders made a long trip down to the most southern tip of the country to a place called Punta Arenas to check out a local contest in a place where the Atlantic meets the Pacific. The days were cold but the riding was good and there was an unreal local girl's BMX scene. When they got back to Santiago, Coco decided to make a day trip to some trails for Colin to check out and they ended up being set against an amazing backdrop of the Andes Mountains for one of the most amazing sunset sessions. On Friday they crew is headed to a beach town to check out a new skatepark and ride some undiscovered street.
