I've really been diggin' the boys' style here on Day 2. See more looks on our Flickr.
Girls definitely have style out here for Day 2. Here are some of my favorite looks. More on our Flickr.
Rain or shine, nose bleeds or face cuts; nothing could phase the front man of Dante Vs. Zombies from throwing a raging good time on the outdoor stage of Desert Daze Fest. Initially incognito, Dante White danced his hat and sunglasses off and ended up on the floor and in the crowd, along with getting mysterious cuts on his face. But the pace only sped, and the crowd's energy went from confusion to uninhibited joy. With good tunes and a colorful stage presence, he and his glittery space-cadets know how to entertain an audience and even rile up the first crowd surfer I've seen all weekend. Pretend you were there, and check out all the antics on our Flickr.
Before Moving Units hit the outdoor stage on Saturday night, whispers of past shows and memories of the band began to accumulate in the crowd. And when the band played their last song, I knew the audience was hit with a sense of nostalgia, as the sing-alongs and dancing commenced. Try and spot yourself in the crowd on Van's Flickr.
Que good time. Que good music. Well, that was easy. We kept our day flowing and caught up with The Shins. Now there's a crowd and a legit show. For those of you who missed out, The Shins are touring through the end of August.
My friend is a huge fan of Bon Iver, so we made sure to get up close and personal for the show. The set up alone was super rad. A million of what looked like candles but were lights on stands covered the stage built up excitement for what's about to go down. His music was definitely a nice change of pace in the day. It was one of those shows where you just don't want him to say, "One more song, see you next time."

Give or take a few, there's about 75,000 folks here ready to dance their pants (or tights) off. We had Mitchell capture some of these peeps in action.

The worst thing about Coachella sometimes is that somebody has to play early. It's pretty hard to motivate people to get there early after they were raging their faces off all night. Black Lips unfortunately drew that card this year but that in itself is what motivated our whole crew to get to the grounds early. Not an easy feat so bravo Black Lips, you got a buncha fans over here. We may have missed the first 3 songs which resulted in me missing photo pit access but don't worry I pushed through to the front of the crowd & climbed on a barrier to bring you these. It's almost like you were right there with me... in the sweaty afternoon dance party getting yelled at by security.
"Something's gone wrong again!...And Again!...And Again!" Let me tell you it wasn't my afternoon hanging out with the Buzzcocks. All 3 members of the band were smiling from ear to ear during the entire show and when they were having a great time, it made everyone have a good time. Beach balls were flying and everyone was singing along to their line-up of classic songs.
