At The Drive In
One of the most buzzed about bands playing this year for sure, At The Drive In had the main stage packed out. Know why? Because their completely rad. Duh. Get more on Vans Flickr.
Desert Daze: Recap
Vitaminwater sponsored Desert Daze proved to be an epic alternative to the enormity that Coachella has become. It's the place to ditch the shorty -shorts, slap on some jeans and get ready to kick dust into the desert sky. With such an awesome line up for its first year of existence, I can only see it making Desert Hot Springs, CA as much of a household name as its neighbor in the east in the coming years. It was my last day in the garage rock oasis, but that doesn't mean it's the last for you too. If you couldn't make it out to the desert this weekend, there are still 7 days of music left in Dillon's Roadhouse. Until then, you can check out all the fun you've been missing on our Flickr.
The Hives
Sit down. Yes you. Sit down...Who can make 50,000 people (no fibbing here) sit down? The Hives can, and they did during the middle of their set. I'll put that on the record for a Coachella first. After a 5 year stretch, they are putting out a new record in June. From the taste we got during the show, my advice to you, check it. It's going to be a goodie.
Santigold
Santigold put on one hell of a show. But doesn't she always? Boring is never on the table with her.
Metronomy
They perfect way to start day 3 was listening to Metronomy. I'm really diggin 'em right now. They recently put out a new album "The English Riviera" and just announced dates to support Coldplay's North American tour. Count me in.
Are You Ready For This?
During the last day of Coachella (super bummer) everyone was still high on life from the past two days and ready another insane day of music. We had Mitchell scope out the scene and say hello to everyone.

Wild Flag
Getting to catch Wild Flag yesterday was pretty rad. They sounded great on the Outdoor Stage and it was perfect for a little mid-afternoon pick me up. If you live on the West Coast, they have a few upcoming shows so be sure to check them out and if you don't you can still check out a video from their performance.

Fitz & The Tantrums
We missed Fitz & The Tantrums at Sundance a few months ago so I was stoked to catch them here at Coachella. Their set was super fun and both the front mister & miss are true performers. Even at the hottest part of the day they kept the crowd on their feet for the full set. They are on tour now in the US & Mexico, be sure to check out a show if they come to your city.
SBTRKT
SBTRKT is always fun... the desert dance party continued with their set and a rad visual show on the screen behind them. Be sure to catch them on tour all summer.
Flying Lotus
I honestly didn't know what to expect when I headed for the stage to watch Flying Lotus. What we got was a bass heavy dance party and the entire crowd was losing their minds. Here are a few shots from his set, check out more from the whole weekend on our Flickr.
