Boston Calling: Day 2

The sun came out to join us for day 2 of Boston Calling, and everyone was dancing their way to the stage in higher spirits. Had a great time checking out Ra Ra Riot, The Walkmen, and Dirty Projectors, though the award for best set of the weekend was definitely claimed by Of Monsters and Men.

Boston Calling: Day 1

Nothing like a little bit of rainfall to get everyone in the festival spirit, right? It sure ain't slowing Boston down! Day 1 of Boston Calling was chilly and there were umbrellas a-plenty, but our Vans Girls bloggers and Vans Surf's Leila Hurst still had a blast catching Cults, Bad Rabbits, Portugal. The Man., and more.

We pulled a few of our favorite shots from Day 1 below, but you can find more updates from the festival at vansmusic.tumblr.com.

Boston Calling

Some of the lovely ladies at Vans Girls (along with surfer Leila Hurst!) are headed east this weekend for the two-day music festival that is Boston Calling. The event's a first-timer, but it's going down as a Memorial Weekend staple if we've got anything to say about it.

Bad Rabbits, The Shins, and Fun. will be there alongside 15 others, so ship on up to Boston and join us for a couple of days. Don't forget to keep an eye out for our photobooth while you're there!

The Architects: Border Wars

You may have seen The Architects on the Vans Warped Tour stage in past years, or maybe you heard a few tracks on your friend's stereo, but one thing's for sure, it's been too long since they've released some new music. This time around, they're pulling a crazy comic book/album combo with their new project "Border Wars". It's a five-episode comic with a six-song CD to accompany each part. Rad? Rad. They're promisin' heroes, villains, and a whole lot of blood.

Robert Trujillo Talks Orion Fest 2013

If we've got anything to say about it, music and skating make for the raddest of mashups. Metallica's Robert Trujillo talks about the collision of both worlds at the 2013 Orion Fest, where things are stepping up another notch this year. Why just have a vert ramp at a festival when you can have it attached to a stage instead? Watch bands shred as skaters tear up the 30-foot ramp. Yes. Please.
