Vans Hi-Standard Canada Series Kicks Off Tomorrow

Join us for the first Canadian edition of the Vans Hi-Standard Series in collaboration with Snowboard Canada tomorrow, Saturday, February 4th in Seymour North Vancouver. The event consists of an original big air format where riders are judged on individual style and no rotations over 720 are permitted; rewarding creativity and self-expression, the Vans way. It’s pretty simple, the more style and trick variety you have, the more you get paid.
Dennis McNett Art Show in Laguna Beach, CA

After his three year absence in California, Dennis McNett brings his art show; Wolfbat Shamans and the Whale of Gratitude to Orange County for the first time. A large selection of his woodcut prints, sculptural forms, wall installations, papier mâché and masks in mythical and animalistic creations are coming to AR4T Gallery in Laguna Beach with a reception this Saturday, February 4th from 6-9pm and the show runs through March 24th.
John Florence Wins Pipe Pro

With 20 seconds left of the final heat, Vans Surf Team rider John Florence had a paddle battle to catch the last wave and pulls out a 9.93 to match his already perfect 10 to take the win at the Volcom Pipe Pro down at Pipeline on Oahu. This is rad. The biggest congratulations goes out John!
Vans Surfjitsu Shoe Release Party at Thalia Surf Shop

The event will feature art from Surfjitsu collaborators Neil Blender and Dane Gudauskas as well as a special performance by Alejandro's Awesome Surf Band. It's that time of year again for the 5th annual Man, I Need Vans Game of S.K.A.T.E. at the Vans Skatepark in Orange, CA. Save the date for Saturday, February 18th when the event goes down. Two winners will go home with a year's supply of Vans shoes! Registration starts at the park at 12pm and the contest starts at 3pm. No registration fee, just the session rate to skate that day.

After you get that new board over the holidays, come out to Vans Skatepark in Orange, CA to brush up on your skate skills. Vans Skatepark will be holding two instructional skateboard clinics on January 21st and February 25th from 8am - 12pm. Vans approved instructors will be offering their knowledge for beginner to advanced street skateboarders ages 6 - 16 and the cost is $40 for members and $50 for nonmembers.
